Chapter 8: A New Way To Lead

Our purpose is to collectively define the ideals behind being "People Centric." We aim to share best practices and learn from each other as to how best we, as leaders, can become a catalyst in the lives of the people we serve.

Read chapter 8, think through your answers, then discuss them with your leadership team. We ask you to share a summary of your thoughts and insights.  Our goal is to create a learning environment where we can all benefit from each other’s perspectives.

Post your comments to the questions below:

Have you ever known that a change is necessary but felt unsure how to make that change happen? Based on the reading, have you identified any possible action steps?

How are your behaviors similar and different while at work and at home? What similarities and differences are there between your interactions with people at work and at home? What causes those differences?

We found three master keys to our leadership culture – deep listening, authentic vulnerability, and courageous patience. What does each of these mean to you? How do you live them out? What role do they play in your personal and professional lives?

What are your expectations for how quickly your vision will come to fruition? What incremental steps are necessary to actualize your vision? How will you identify you are making progress in achieving your vision?
